The manual is a 2-page pdf which provides all the information needed to access a secret webpage with the instructions, videos and other vital information for the entire quiltalong. You won’t need the download link again after you’ve download and printed the Concierge Manual.
Project Details

- Two sizes, a 50″ x 78″ napping quilt and a 96″ x 92″ queen variation
- Suitable for adventurous beginners to experienced quilters
- No curves, templates, paper piecing, appliqué, hand work or fussy cutting

Fabric Requirements
Napping size (approximately 50″ x 78″)
- 2–3 yards of assorted lighter fabrics (12 or more different fabrics, fat quarters and/or scraps)
- 2–3 yards of assorted darker fabrics (12 or more different fabrics, fat quarters and/or scraps)
- 3 yards of contrasting background fabric
We recommend a lighter or darker fabric for the contrasting background such as Benartex’s Superior Solids Ecru (similar to the Vanilla), White, Espresso or Navy. We’ve sold out of the Vanilla which also works well. - 1/2–3/4 yard binding fabric
- 3–5 yards backing fabric
- 54″ x 82″ batting
Queen size (approximately 96″ x 92″):
- 4 yards of assorted lighter fabrics (12 or more different fabrics)
- 4 yards of assorted darker fabrics (12 or more different fabrics)
- 6 yards of contrasting background fabric
We recommend a lighter or darker fabric for the contrasting background such as Benartex’s Superior Solids Ecru (similar to the Vanilla), White, Espresso or Navy. We’ve sold out of the Vanilla which also works well. - 1 yard binding fabric

Schedule
The quiltalong begins June 1st. The last installment, along with the reveal, is July 12, 2024. You are welcome to start any time; many quilters begin after the reveal as well.
Access to the Pattern / How this Quiltalong Works
You will be a Concierge at the Lighthouse Inn. When not busy assisting guests, you will be making a quilt with assignments from Innkeepers Bill and Weeks.
After you complete your purchase, our system will automatically email your receipt. If you don’t see your receipt in your inbox, check your junk mail folder. The receipt has a clickable link that says, “CLICK HERE to download the Concierge Manual.” When you click the link, the Concierge Manual (a two-page pdf file) will be downloaded to your device; it is usually saved to your downloads folder. It is your responsibility to download the file within 60 days. We are unable to re-send or reactivate expired links.
The Concierge Manual provides full access to the quiltalong via a secret webpage called the Front Desk. This is a fully digital quiltalong, no printed pattern will be mailed to you and no additional emails will be sent, just your original receipt with its download link.
The Front Desk page has links to download the six assignments, links to video tutorials, bonus Spotify playlists, a link to the Beacon gift shop, and more. The Front Desk is a private page, please do not share links to the page, the downloads or videos.
You’ll find abundant support and encouragement from fellow participants in the Modern Quilt Studio Patterns and Fabrics Facebook group. We ask that you NOT share any details of the pattern in the Facebook group nor post photos of any part of the pattern.
We are unable to provide tech support for your computer/device/downloads/printer. Many local libraries offer technical help and may also offer printing services.
