Hive mini-quiltalong

This quiltalong takes place August 17th. There are two parts that day. There will be a prerecorded palette building video on working with multicolored fabrics available at 9am CDT. At 11am CDT there will be a Facebook livestream Q&A at 11am. The Q&A will be available later on our YouTube channel. You can participate at any time, you don’t have to be available on the 17th. Read below for details.

IMPORTANT: After your purchase is processed, our system promptly emails you a receipt. If you don’t see the receipt in your inbox, check your spam folder, it’s most likely there. The receipt has a link that says “CLICK HERE to download the Access Letter.”

• Click the link and download your Access Letter promptly
• The Access Letter is a 1-page PDF which provides immediate access to a secret webpage with the vital information for the entire quiltalong. The pattern download and videos will be added to that secret page on August 17th, the day of the quiltalong.
• You have 60 days from the purchase date to download your Access Letter before the link expires. Print and save the letter. Keep it in a safe place as we cannot resend expired links or replace lost letters.
• Depending on your device (laptop, phone, tablet, etc.) the Access Letter may be ready to access and print from the link OR it may be downloaded to your device.
• If you clicked the download link, the letter is now on your device. If you are not sure where downloaded files are stored on your device, you can search on Google or another search engine for, “Where are downloads on my (insert your device here).” Your local public library is also an excellent resource for tech help.
• This is a completely digital event, no printed pattern will be shipped to you.

PROJECT DETAILS

Learn how to assemble a scrappy modern palette, hone your craftsmanship and make a unique Hive quilt in this online event. The quiltalong includes the downloadable pattern, an extensive video tutorial on palette building with multi-colored prints, a live Q&A session on Facebook (a recording will be available afterwards) and a virtual exhibition. The Hive quilt can be made as a 52″ x 78″ napping quilt with 2 layout options or as a 30″x39″ baby quilt with one layout. The pattern explains how to cut triangles using common markings on mats and rulers without templates. A template page is also provided for those who prefer working with templates.

The quiltalong is entirely online. If you order this digital quiltalong along with physical items (kits, fabric, magazines, etc.), the welcome letter link will be on your emailed receipt. The remaining physical items will be shipped to you separately.
